Anime Expo 2004

Putter, putter....

So Anime Expo 2004 is only about four days away. Gosh, that sure snuck up on me.

Okay, so I still need to pack. I think I'll need to use my huge suitcase again, dammit. About three changes of clothes, various hygiene essentials, sketchbook, drawing implements... if there's any possibility of the beach, swimsuit and towel? Must consult Kaity.

(The traveling party this year is even bigger than the one last year. XD Kaity's family is organizing it all this time, and they rented an enormous van to accomodate everyone.)

This year, I have two costumes again. However, Zax taught me a valuable lesson, so neither of them are especially complicated or uncomfortable to wear. Certainly neither of them have clunky difficult armor. I'm cosplaying Sephiroth-as-a-child, and JJ Adams.

::watches absolutely nobody be surprised::

Just in case anybody at all is curious... webcam pictures of my costumes. XD

JJ in progress As you can see, I hadn't trimmed the wig yet, and I still didn't have suspenders or a belt.

Complete JJ Here I was just trying to get a good shot of the costume, not worrying too very much about posing. The wig itches horribly. And I have to admit I'm not too sure about the combination of suspenders and belt, but dammit, that's what he wore in the OAV.
Sephiroth more or less complete Simplicity itself. When I wear this to Expo, there will be bandaids on my arms and a number one on the back of my hand. I'm not sure how much that will help with recognition, but whatever. XD
Sephiroth's hair I was really proud of how the bangs came out, and you can't really see them in the other shot, so. ph33r m4 l33t w1g-m0d sk1llz.

Ah, and I believe I've ranted on for quite long enough. Next update will probably be the con report itself.
